SOFA-sponsored Personnel
SOFA-sponsored and Japanese employees with regular base access will have access to the open base festival using their DBIDS-registered CAC or authorized ID. SOFA-sponsored personnel and Japanese employees who have the privilege to escort guests may do so as any other day. SOFA-sponsored personnel and their guests will use either Carney Gate or Womble Gate to access the base.
Please contact the CFAY Visitor Control Center for more information including what documentation guests may need and how to submit pre-authorized guest pass request.
Also of note, pets are not authorized in the event area.
Japanese, Foreign Residents, Tourists without Base Access
Japanese community members and foreign residents who 1) do not have base access AND 2) do not have a SOFA-sponsored escort will need to register through the City of Yokosuka. This is the only way to gain access to the base for Spring Festival 2024 without a SOFA-sponsored escort. Registered guests will access the base through Mikasa Gate (see the map below).
The registration window is scheduled to open Wednesday, February 21 at 12 p.m. and remain open until Monday, March 4 at 11:59 p.m. More information is available here: https://www.cocoyoko.net/event/spring-fes.html

In support of Yokosuka Spring Festival 2024, U.S. Naval Hospital Yokosuka is hosting six Basic Food Handlers courses between February 23 and March 15. All employees or individuals who prepare, handle, and serve food products to the public must complete this training. This course will equip food handlers with the basic principles of food safety that must be applied when conducting a temporary food operation on the installation.
