Yokosuka Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, or NMCRS, helps Yokosuka-area clients improve personal financial skills and encourages individual financial responsibility through programs like Budget for Baby, Quick Assist Loans, Financial Assistance, and Visiting Nurses.

In 2023 alone, NMCRS Yokosuka provided $1.5 million in financial assistance to Yokosuka servicemembers and their families and brought in more than $45,000 in sales from the NMCRS Thrift Shop.

NMCRS services are available for military personnel and their family members transferring in or out of Yokosuka as the non-profit is able to provide financial assistance to help pay Navy Lodge, Navy Gateway Inns & Suites, or hotels authorized for use with an authorized certificate non-availability for personnel eligible for Temporary Lodging Allowance. NMCRS can also help offset the cost of PCS-related pet transportation to or from overseas locations with an interest-free loan.

Yokosuka NMCRS is located on the third floor of the Community Readiness Center across the street from the Commissary. The NMCRS Thrift Shop is located in Bldg G59 on Clement Blvd. across the street from the Benny Decker Theater between the NEX Main Street Food Court and NAVSUP Yokosuka Post Office.

NMCRS is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The NMCRS Thrift Shop hours change based on volunteer availability. The most up-to-date hours are always available through the official Yokosuka NMCRS social media page on Facebook. It is recommended to verify the hours on their Facebook page, especially around holiday periods.

To schedule an appointment, please email Yokosuka@nmcrs.org or call 046-816-7905 locally, +81 46-816-7905 internationally, or 243-7905 from a DSN. Dialing instructions are available in the Far East Phone Directory.

NMCRS events are listed in CFAY Announcements and on the CFAY Monthly Calendars.

NMCRS YouTube channel offers a Financial Education playlist.
